WILLEMSTAD – On April 21, 2015, 11 volunteers from the U.S. Forward Operating Location (USFOL) visited Dierenasiel Curaҫao to assist with grooming 21 dogs and five puppies. The volunteers spent the afternoon grooming and socializing with the animals. Dierenasiel Curaҫao provides dogs and cats a safe home until a forever home is found.

On April 23, 2015, seven volunteers from the USFOL returned to the Fuik Children’s Center to support their program through sports and other activities. The Fuik Center provides an encouraging after-school environment for children to get help with homework and focus on skill building activities. The USFOL team spent the afternoon painting faces, decorating and interacting with the children and staff.

The USFOL staff continues to be involved with their local community to express their longstanding appreciation for the hospitality they have received from the citizens of Curacao.
