Curacao’s telecoms firm UTS confirmed it has sold its Surinamese subsidiary Uniqa during January, Telegeography reports. UTS director Paul de Geus said that the identity of the buyer will not be disclosed due to a confidentiality agreement signed between the two parties. The executive also said that the completion of the acquisition will take several months. Uniqa was founded in 2007 as a joint venture between UTS and local company Intelsur. UTS provides mobile and fixed telephony as well as broadband and pay-TV services in Curacao.
