WILLEMSTAD – The epidemiology department reports that out of 3125 people that were tested today for the COVID-19 virus, 691 of them were positive. 493 cases were taken out of isolation. The total number of active infections is now 9220.
According to the epidemiology department, there were 53 imported cases. After more investigation it became known that 2 cases were recorded incorrectly. The necessary adjustments have been made.
The situation at the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) until this morning: 30 COVID-related patients are in the hospital. 10 patients are in the ICU. Unfortunately, 3 patients have died in the hospital.
The total COVID-related death since the beginning of the pandemic is 197.
