WILLEMSTAD – The Carnival season for 2024 kicked off on Saturday at the Curaçao Festival Center. The opening featured multiple performances and parades.

It was also announced during the opening that Carnival 2024 is dedicated to Ravick Thode, who has been actively involved in carnival festivities for many years.

Various events are scheduled in the upcoming weeks. From January 22 to January 26, the tumba festival will take place, with the final set for Friday. On January 28, the horse parade will begin, followed by the Teen Parade on February 9, the Children’s Parade on February 4, and, of course, the grand Gran Marcha on February 11, marking the peak of the carnival celebration on the island.

Additionally, the Farewell Parades will take place on February 12 and 13, and the carnival will conclude with the Closing Event on February 17.
