De draagkrachtregeling is bij DUO NIET afgeschaft. Op de website van DUO wordt duidelijk aangegeven welke gegevens je dient te verstrekken. In Nederland vraagt men gegevens op bij de belastingdienst. dat kan niet op de antillen. Onderstaand het verhaal van DUO met betrekking tot buitenlands inkomen.
Inkomen buiten Nederland
Als u in het buitenland woont of een buitenlands inkomen hebt, kunnen we uw inkomensgegevens vaak niet opvragen bij de Belastingdienst. U moet dan zelf uw inkomen aan ons doorgeven.

U krijgt automatisch bericht over de bewijsstukken die wij nodig hebben. U kunt in Mijn DUO zien of wij uw adres hebben. Klopt het adres niet? Geef dan uw adres door via Mijn DUO of met het formulier Wijziging terugbetalen studieschuld.

Hebt u uitstel gekregen voor uw belastingaangifte? Stuur dan de bewijsstukken op uit de kolom ‘U doet geen aangifte’.
Bent u zelfstandig ondernemer? Stuur dan een verklaring van uw accountant mee. Uit het bewijsstuk moet uw inkomen van het volledige jaar blijken. Wij gaan niet uit van het netto besteedbare inkomen.

Five hundreds thousands euros for the right to rent a student room. The Antilleans government pays for these fees. The students only pay for the monthly rent of the student room plus utilities and the yearly school fees and book fees. In America it is even more expensive and worser.

And the Antilleans government refuses to help them. They can easily do that by sending tickets to their people so that they can come back. Antilleans aren’t Dutch citizens of The Netherlands, but of the Netherlands Antilles. They are foreigners in Holland. Netherlands Antilles is a country, The Netherlands is another country. They share the same passport, but their customs and laws are very different, including their culture.

Those ex-students who are working or renting other houses are doing that illegally and they are doing that on the zwart markt or black market. And once they get busted by the police who regularly raid those houses, the get placed at asielcentrums, on the streets, at the Walletjes or at the zoo.Yes those are the laws and Holland is very strict with their laws. Do you know how many Antilleans live under the bridgdes and at the train station?

You have to pay one million for that. You can’t a house from the gemeente, you have to pay 250.000 for that, plus you have 5 million for the right to work or or to receive uitkering.

To be able to study in Holland you have to have a networth of one million euros, either you or your parents. This is also valid for the Antilleans. 2. You have to pay 5 million euros for the right to study in Holland at an MBO, HBO, ROC, University. 3. Two million to get enrolled at an HBO or University. ROC, MBO are exempt from these fees.

Veel van deze studenten namen geen bijbaantje maar gingen extra lenen. En gebruikte dit geld voor reisjes.

Lijkt me toch duidelijk voor iedereen.

Ik heb het persbericht van de oud-studenten gelezen en vind het bijzonder dat zij soms bijna €1000 per maand moeten terugbetalen. Ik heb ook in Nederland gestudeerd (en woon er nog steeds) en betaal elke maand DUO terug. Gelet op het gezamenlijke inkomen van mijn vriendin en ik (netto inkomen €4.000 per maand ) betaal ik €320 per maand terug. Met dit bedrag betaal ik mijn studielening volledig terug. Hoe kan het dan zijn dat DUO een hoger bedrag van de oud-studenten op het eiland verlangt? Het verhaal klopt niet helemaal en ook niet compleet. Wellicht willen ze hiermee meer steun voor hun actie vergaren? Ik heb een aantal van de reacties op FB gelezen, bijvoorbeeld kwijtschelding, discriminatie enzovoorts. Belachelijk! Gewoon netjes terugbetalen! Toen we het geld(lening) elke maand ontvingen, wisten we dat het terugbetaald moest worden. De regels waren altijd duidelijk! En nu dat er terugbetaald moeten worden presenteren de oud-studenten zich als slachtoffer van het systeem. Ik vind het niet erg dat ik elke maand een bedrag moet terugbetalen. Ik beschouwde de studielening als een investering in mijn toekomst. Fijn dat zo’n systeem bestaat! Dit is mijn “bescheiden” mening.

Het hele artikel van DUO gelezen over studiefinanciering en terugbetaling en draagkracht en de noodzaak van Curacaose afgestudeerden om hun gegevens bij DUO te melden bij vertrek vanuit Nederland.
Het lijkt me een correcte berekening en correcte toepassing van de regels. Maar ik denk dat studenten te makkelijk denken met lenen tijdens hun studie.

( door-) Studeren is voor de niet zo gefortuneerden bijna onbetaalbaar geworden! En het is wel de jeugd die de toekomst van deze aarde zal gaan bepalen. (en niet de thuiszittende op alles en nog wat reagerende oude hap, die hebben hun kans gehad en de meesten hebben er niets -of het verkeerde- mee gedaan). Oproep aan overheden : steun de studenten financieel en denk niet op korte termijn ( =tot de volgende verkiezingen).
Zij zijn het die in de toekomst bijvoorbeeld het door de huidige en enkele vorige generaties door kortzichtigheid – en regeren op korte termijn- het milieuprobleem zullen moeten oplossen. Stel ze daartoe in staat door ze de mogelijkheid te geven hun talenten op alle fronten te ontwikkelen.

Het is makkelijk om van buiten uit (Wim en ericalapas) zonder enige informatie of wederhoor te reageren dat ex-studenten aan het lullen zijn en geen prioriteit stellen. We verwachten niet anders van jullie want we weten hoe jullie denken over de Curacaoenaar. Maar wie gaat studeren om bij zijn moeder te blijven wonen. Jullie rijden allemaal in je eigen auto omdat de opbenbaar vervoer hier niet deugd . maar jullie willen dat wij wel dat wij fietsend naar ons werk gaan .Dat is een nederlandse gedachte dat hier in de tropen niet van toepassing is. Niemand gaat studeren om in dezelfde situatie te blijven leven , we hebben allemaal een doel om iets te bereiken in het leven en daarom hebben we gestudeerd anders konden we gewoon een crimineel worden en naar nederland vetrekken om daar herrie te schoppen en dat is ook niet goed.

Zoals de ouden zingen, piepen de jongen.
Het zit er al vroeg ingebakken. Actie voeren als je een cent extra moet betalen.
Mijn standpunt is dat als je wil studeren, je ook op de blaren moet zitten. Ongeacht wie.

Ach, alle studenten die klagen over te grote aflossingen van hun studieschuld zie ik wel ieder jaar de nieuwste Iphone kopen.

Treuzeltutten zijn het, allemaal.

Deze twee oud-bursalen hadden het over draagkrachtregeling want DUO houdt geen rekening met de hypotheek en de auto lening.

Blijkbaar hebben deze studenten tijdens hun studie niet geleerd om prioriteiten te stellen.

Ben toch benieuwd of banken wel naar lopende schulden kijken voordat ze hypotheek en andere leningen verstrekken.
