WILLEMSTAD – Yesterday, Curaçao Chronicle reported on an arrest made by the Public Prosecution and requested by Venezuelan authorities. The website DolarToday indicated that this was the arrest of the Venezuelan Archak Guerrino Badrossian Liberatoscioli.
Badrossian or “Archie” as he is known in the world of illegal extraction, would have Interpol capture order and is accused of illegal extraction of precious materials such as Gold, Coltan and diamond which he smuggled abroad from Venezuela.
Archak sold the contraband and received payment in dollars, which he then sold on the border of Cucuta generating distortions in the exchange market of the border. At the time of the arrest, Archak was with his accomplice Nathaly Gómez Badrossian who was not arrested but is being interrogated by the island’s police.
