WILLEMSTAD – Following received reports via the App Number 561-1444, the MD team consisting of the police KPC (Punda District Team), Tax Inspectors (BAB), Customs, and Economic Inspectorate conducted a targeted inspection at Zhong Wua Sin Restaurant NV located on Vesuviusstraat 35 (Vredenberg).

During the inspection, the team identified the presence of an active Roulette Machine and the illegal sale of lottery numbers. The situation displayed significant hygiene concerns that prompted intervention from the GMN/THZ department. The competition posed by the illegal lottery sales creates an unfair disadvantage against legitimate establishments that hold permits for selling lottery tickets and adhere to tax obligations. For an individual or entity to operate a Roulette Machine (GAMBLING MACHINE), they are required to possess a permit from the Gaming Control Board.

The team will continue to carry out targeted inspections to ensure that all businesses uphold the current regulations. They said they rely on the support of the community to report any issues and maintain compliance.
