WILLEMSTAD – The anti-corruption unit (TBO) of the Kingdom Detective Cooperation Team (RST) raided the residence of the President of the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten, Emsley Tromp. The Public Prosecution (OM) in Willemstad did not want to comment on the reason why these searches were executed.
In addition to the raid on Tromp’s private home in Mahaai, TBO also executed a search at the trust office United Trust of businessman Gregory Elias. Emsley Tromp is a customer there. Currently, the TBO is at the Central Bank.
