CAY HILL–Two male robbers ended up at St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) for medical attention after they were injured while attempting to rob two men recently.

According to a police press release, the two robbers attempted to rob two other men at a tennis court located across from SMMC in Cay Hill. The press release did not specify the day and time the attempted robbery occurred and efforts to obtain clarification proved futile.

During the attempted robbery, the victims fought back causing the assailants to flee the scene. The victims, who sustained minor injuries, went to SMMC and the police were notified about the incident.

Shortly after, the robbers themselves, who apparently also suffered injuries, also went to SMMC for medical attention. They were immediately arrested after receiving treatment. The detective department is investigating this incident.
