WILLEMSTAD – Recently a Venezuelan arms dealer was presented before the judge in Willemstad. He was arrested in June in a raid in the Coco neighborhood. The 33-year-old man told frankly that Curaçao is a haven for arms sales, the weapons go like hot cakes.
He himself has smuggled two weapons using the Venezuelan boats as the mode of transportation and has earned about 400 dollars with this sale.
He received a 15 month prison sentence to be served here in Curaçao after which he will be deported to Venezuela.
