WILLEMSTAD – Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas recently announced on his social media platforms that he had a significant meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom in Caracas, Mr. Robert Schuddeboom, on July 7, 2023.
The purpose of this meeting was to exchange valuable information and insights regarding the current situation in Venezuela. Mr. Schuddeboom, with his extensive knowledge and experience, provided the Prime Minister with a comprehensive update on the latest developments in the neighboring country.
In addition to discussing the regional landscape, the meeting also addressed practical matters, such as the establishment of direct flights from Venezuela to Curaçao. This initiative aims to enhance connectivity and facilitate travel between the two nations. Furthermore, the situation of Curaçao residents currently residing in Venezuela was considered, highlighting the importance of ensuring their well-being and providing necessary support during challenging times.
Another critical topic on the agenda was visa-related matters. Recognizing the significance of smooth and efficient visa procedures, the Prime Minister and Ambassador discussed strategies to streamline the visa application process. The proposed solution involves expanding the personnel at the Embassy of the Kingdom in Caracas. This development will help expedite visa issuance and provide valuable assistance to individuals seeking to obtain visas promptly.
