WILLEMSTAD – The Surveillance and Enforcement Team of the Ministry of Traffic, Transportation, and Urban Planning (VVRP), together with officers from the Police Force, conducted an operation on a site in Brakkeput.

The reason for this action was the discovery of illegal occupation of the land and illegal construction on this site. The Surveillance Team took strict measures against this illegality, confiscated various items, and the police arrested one of the individuals involved in these illegal activities.

During the operation, it was also observed that there was unauthorized power consumption. Aqualectra, the local utility company, was notified, and necessary measures were taken while initiating an investigation.

The Ministry of VVRP reiterates its warning against illegal land occupation and/or unauthorized construction. They will continue to take action against such activities in close cooperation with the Police Force.
