EUSTATIUS–Minister of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality Carola Schouten is currently on a working visit to St. Eustatius.
She and her delegation were met at F.D. Roosevelt Airport by Government Commissioner Marcolino “Mike” Franco, Acting Island Secretary Malvern Dijkshoorn-Lopes and other government officials on her arrival to the island Tuesday.
Schouten was expected tour the Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fishery Unit which included the slaughterhouse, Made in Statia, STUCO solar park catchment, the area where there is erosion near the airport, and other areas.
She was also expected to have a meet-and-greet with Nature Policy Plan at Caribbean Netherlands Science Institute.
