WILLEMSTAD – Minister Plenipotentiary Marvelyne Wiels filed a preliminary injunction against the Ombudsman, Alba Martijn. Wiels does not agree with the way the investigation was carried out on her actions in the Curaçao House.
For example, according to Wiels, there was no honest process in order. There was use of anonymous sources that have not been heard under oath. Furthermore, Wiels indicated that she has been unable to see some of the documents used in the report; some of them, according to Wiels, are of doubtful origin.
Ombudsman Martijn said that she received the e-mail with the preliminary injuction this morning Wiels legal representative, Arjen van Rijn. This case is scheduled for June 15 of this year.
Martijn indicated that she was wanted to send her final report to all the authorities, government, parliament and the governor. “Everything has shifted now. But if the Judge rules that Wiels is not admissible, then the disclosure of the report will be by the end of this month,” said the Ombudsman.
Martijn will not go into Wiels’ allegations, because the matter is now sub judice. The Ombudsman did indicate that she will not honor Wiels’ request to disclose the informants. Martijn will not violate her duty of confidentiality as the Ombudsman.

Let’s hope that judge Irma Lips does this case.
She always supports the defendants, guilty or not.
