National Geographic’s Kimberley Lovato researched the world’s beaches and included the 21 best of them in a comprehensive list. Her picks include beaches in North- and South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia as well as the Caribbean and, of course, Curaçao.

WILLEMSTAD – Curaçao’s Cas Abao Beach earned a solid position in Kimberley’s list as one of the world’s best beaches for snorkeling. She writes:
“Cas Abao Beach, Curaçao: Ringed by reefs, Curaçao hides a Caribbean underwater wonderland, and this beach is one of the few sandy ones on the arid island, with a bar and a shop to rent snorkel gear. Slip straight into the shallow crystalline bay alive with sea fans and coral, tropical fish, sponges, sea turtles, and more.”

Jammer dat het rif hier nagenoeg verdwenen is.
Alleen jammer dat de strandstoelen oncomfortabel zijn en bar/restaurant voor ‘geen meter loopt’.
