CTB and private sector partners successfully executed a 5-day promotional roadshow in São Paulo, connecting with Travel Agents, Press/Media and Wholesalers

WILLEMSTAD – From the 18th to the 21st of June 2018, the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) and a number of private-sector partners organized a “Curaçao Promotional Roadshow” in the cities of São Paulo and Campinas, Brazil.

A series of functions aimed to update our partners in Brazil on the latest information about Curaçao’s tourism product offerings. The program included educational dinner event sessions for Travel Agents, a luncheon for the press of Brazil and one-on-one meetings between our hotel representatives and Brazilian Tour Operators.

The first day of the Curaçao Roadshow included presentations to reservation center agents of Tour-operators Schultz and Orinter. That same evening, CTB and partners presented to 80 Travel Agents of the region of Campinas. All evenings carried a Curaçao theme starting with “Curaçao Blue” inspired welcome drinks, followed by the Curaçao team’s presentation. The functions were setup with special ‘Curaçao themed’ decorated tables for travel agents, that were divided into ten groups. Right after dinner, each table had to quickly brainstorm and study facts of each Curaçao theme to later present their Curaçao-related topic to the audience. Themes included Curaçao’s beaches, our colorful UNESCO World Heritage capital of Willemstad, our local food, the upcoming Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival, our biodiversity / nature and more. This format allows and triggers Travel Agents to familiarize themselves with Curaçao in a creative and memorable way. The best and most creative table won a 4 night hotel stay for each participant, courtesy of the Curaçao hotels.

Other successful events included a meeting session with Tour operators, a special press event luncheon with over 25 media representatives along with a “Curaçao Day” at the office of Online

Wholesaler Decolar.com in Guarulhos.
